Users who are implicitly associated with work items (e.g. task assignees) can toggle their email notifications as needed from "My Settings" under the user avatar. For exact steps, refer here. On the other hand, when users are explicitly added as followers either by themselves (i.e. clicking on the 'Follow this item') or by another user, emails are automatically sent to them on updates to work items. There are no separate email preferences for explicitly added followers.
Unsubscribe from Emails
For an implicit user
All emails from Celoxis contain a link to unsubscribe from emails or managing email preferences. For users who are implicitly associated with work items, clicking on the "To change your email notification options, click here" link will bring up a pop-up pull up their email preferences view in Celoxis showing your enabled preferences. You Users can then uncheck the related notification and Save.
An explicit user will see a message as seen in the below screenshot. Clicking manage their email preferences from here.
For followers, clicking on the "Unfollow this item" will bring up the details page of the work item from where you can click on the 'Unfollow this item' linklink from the email will automatically remove them from the Follower's list for that work item.
