At times, you need to track updates on work items where you are not assigned but are related to the work you're doing. By following a work item:

  • You get updates via email notifications about the updated on the work items.
  • You can even reply to the emails, which will then add your comments against that work item.

To Follow a work item:

By default, the assignee of the a task /or app item and the State Manager/Project Manager are the implicit assignee's of an task/automatically follow that task or app item. Additionally, one can follow an app any work item by:

  1.  Run a task/apps report where you can view the work item.
  2. From the details page of the task/app item or from the actions drop-down menu, click on Follow this item. Your name will start appearing in the "Followers" listBy clicking on that task or app item's three-line actions menu and selecting "Follow this item".

Managing Followers


As a PM or administrator, you might wish to add users to the followers list to keep them updated about the progress of thw work items. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Run a task/apps report where you can view the work item.
  2. From the details page of the task/app item, click on the pencil-shaped icon to add users to the list. You need to have Edit task/app item privilege to be able to add followers.

  • To unfollow a work item, click on Unfollow this item from the actions drop down of the respective item. To unsubscribe from emails, click here.
  • You need to be able to view a work item to be able to follow it or receive updates on it.
