You can create a single custom field and attach it to with multiple entities like Project, Task, Users,Clients, Contacts, Process, State Transition. All of it can be managed from here and shared. This increases re-usability. 

To add custom fields:

  1. On From the main menu, click Settings, and then click Company.Under the Company section, on Image Added and then Company Settings. From the left, under Company section, click Custom Fields.
  2. On the Manage Custom Fields pop-up, click on Add.
  3. Select an appropriate type of custom field you want to create.
  4. In the Add Custom Field, type name in the Name* box.
  5. In the Formula Key* box, type the formula key.

    Formula Key should be unique, must start with a letter (capital or lower case) and can contain underscores and numbers.
    It should not contain special characters like #,!, etc and should not start with a number. This key is used when referencing the custom field in API.

  6. Under the Attached to tab, select the appropriate entity.
  7. Fill in other details and click Save.
