ReThe RLC also helps you change the allocation of a resource so that you can plan your resource utilization in a more realistic manner. From the same screen, it is possible to add working/non-working exceptions.

To re-allocate resources:

  1. Click the expand button next to small triangle sign besides the user's name . A to expand the list of all the projects in that specific time-frame is displayed.
  2. Click the Open All button. A list of all the tasks allocated to the user is displayed.
  3. Click the Edit link, and in the Assign Resources dialog box, enter the new Allocation under Units.
  4. Click OK. The resource is reallocated.

 

  1. projects and tasks user is assigned to.
  2. For any particular task, click on the Edit link besides the task name.
  3. In the new-pop-up, change the allocation of the resource and click on Ok.
  4. The new allocation of the resource is saved.


To enter working / non-working time:

  1. Point to a user in the RLC and the date for which you want to make the day working / non-working.
  2. Point to Make non-working day and do the either of the following:
    • Select Only this resource. Non-working  day is added in the calendar.
      or
    • Select Everyone.
      or
    • Click Make working : 8 am - 1 PM, 2 PM - 5 PM, if you want to make the day as working. A full working day of 8 hours is added in the calendar.

  1. For any particular date, click on the resource name where you want to add an exception.
  2. Select the appropriate option from the list.
  3. An exception is added for the selected option.
