  1. Operating System: Linux, Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, 2008 and later, Mac OS X .
     
  2. Java: Java SE 6. If you have a 64 bit Operating system, then you need a 64 bit version Java. Similarly for 32-bit OS, you need a 32-bit Java.

    NOTE : You need to download Java JDK; not JRE .

  3. Database: Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 (including Express editions), Oracle 9i or PostgreSQL 9.0.
     
  4. Email Server: with SMTP and IMAP4 or POP3
     
  5. Browser: IE9 (deprecated since v8.0), IE 10 and IE 11 (since v7.0) latest stable version of Firefox and Chrome, Safari on Mac O.S.

    It is mandatory that you use one of the supported browsers for installation. We cannot anticipate the behavior during installation if you use an unsupported version.

Some more on ports :

The following ports are required by the application to execute. You can change them as per your requirement.

  1. By default, the application uses the following port :
    • 8888 - Non-SSL startup port.
    • 8843 - SSL port startup port.
    • 8005 - Shutdown port.
  2. The default ports of the database you will be using. For example, 5432 for Postgres, 1433 for SQL Server, etc.
