The Card view presents your tasks in a board display form depending on your Task Workflow or task attributes. With this view, you get

  • A visually-friendly view of your tasks
  • Change the task status by dragging and dropping tasks from one lane to another.

How card view works:

  • Only tasks appear as cards in this view; summary tasks are not shown.
  • You can filter tasks, highlight tasks, or select lanes depending on your requirements.
  • You can drag-drop tasks between lanes which then creates a status update against the task. When task is dragged to an last/end state, the tasks %Complete is set to 100%.
  • When you mark a completed task as undone (< 100%), it will then move to the task state held by the task in the workflow.
Similarly, when you move the task from an end state to a non-end state, the the %Complete is updated to the last held %Complete of the task.
  • When the project's option: Default task %Complete method is either Weighted Avg... OR Auto-calculated from..., the you will not be able to drag-drop task between the lanes.
