Automatic scheduling means Celoxis will compute the start and end dates of your task. These are computed taking into consideration the work/effort, allocation, duration, resources work-timing, vacations etc. Let us see a few examples of how this would be useful.

  • If you have a large or long running project it is difficult to provide exact dates on all tasks. You may know the efforts required to complete tasks and tentative resource allocations. Celoxis can automatically schedule the tasks factoring in holidays, time zones of resources, available working timings etc.
  • If you have tasks which are dependent on other tasks, Celoxis will compute their dates based on the dependencies specified. If your task gets delayed or rescheduled, the dependent tasks will be automatically rescheduled accordingly.
  • If a resource goes on vacation you can add non-working exceptions and Celoxis will automatically reschedule the tasks by factoring in the vacation hours.
  • If you work weekends you can add working exceptions and Celoxis will again automatically reschedule tasks.
