Once you have installed and configured the Celoxis app within Salesforce, you can then create a project in Celoxis via the Opportunities module in Salesforce. Lets look at how:
- Click on an existing Opportunity or Create a new one by clicking on New.
- After the new opportunity is created or on the existing Opportunity page, click on Allow in the new pop-up that you see if your OAuth policies is set to All users may self-authorize.
- After you click Allow, you will see the Celoxis login page in the Celoxis Project section.
- Upon logging in with the Celoxis credentials, you will see a message "You do not have a project. Click here to create a project for this opp."
- Click on the Click here link to create a project for this opportunity.
NOTE: You can only create one project per opportunity. - You can select the Project Template from the available list.
- The Client drop-down will be automatically populated with the client (Account Name in Salesforce) if the client already exists in Celoxis.
Else, you are shown the option to create the client in Celoxis. - Click on Next.
- On the Clone Project pop-up, Enter a new name or it will be pre-populated with the opportunity name as entered in Salesforce.
- Select the Manager, Start Date, and the Phase of the project as required.
On the same pop-up, under the Custom Fields tab, a custom field: SF Oppurtunity Id is shown which has the same ID of the opportunity in Salesforce. This helps in mapping.
We DO NOT recommend editing the value of this custom field as it will not then be useful when mapping the projects.
- Click on Clone.
- A new project is created in Celoxis and the details page of the project is displayed.
