Adding, Editing, and Deleting Time Codes

To add Time Codes:

  1. Login with a user with administrator privileges and click on Administration option under the user profile.
  2. Under the Timesheets section, click on Time Codes.
  3. On the new pop-up, click the Add icon.
  4. In the Add Time Code dialog box, type name in the Name box.
  5. In the Accounting Code box, type an accounting code if you have any.
  6. Select the Costable check box, if you want the time entry for this time code to be calculated towards the actual cost of the project.
  7. Select the Non-Project check box, if the time filled is not for this project. For instance, vacation or sick leave.
  8. Define Regular billing rates per hour
  9. Fill in other details and click Save. The time code is added.

To edit Time Codes:

  1. Login with a user with administrator privileges and click on Administration option under the user profile.
  2. Under the Timesheets section, click on Time Codes.
  3. Point to a Time Code and click on the pencil-shaped icon.
  4. In the Edit Time Code dialog box, edit the required details and click Save. The time code is edited.

To delete Time Code:

  1. Login with a user with administrator privileges and click on Administration option under the user profile.
  2. Under the Timesheets section, click on Time Codes.
  3. Point to a Time Code and click on the Delete icon.
  4. Confirm the deletion by clicking on Yes. The time code is deleted.

  1. Once you mark an Timecode as Non-Project time code, you CANNOT convert it back to a project code.
  2. Editing a Time Code 
    1. Name – If you edit the name of the time code, all time entries (new and existing) will reflect the new name.
    2. Costable – If you mark the time code as costable, all new time entries will reflect it, but the old ones will not.
    3. Rates – If you update the rates of a time code at the Company level, they will impact only the new projects. Existing projects (and their time entries) are not affected.   3. Deleting a Time Code – All the existing time entries will retain that timecode for the time-entry. You will not be able to make new time-entries against that time code.
