You can integrate Celoxis with LDAP so that users are authenticated against your LDAP. In many organizations, there is centralized authentication mechanism which means that the users credentials are stored on a server and the same can be used across all the applications used in that organization.
Celoxis provides you with the option to authenticate its users against your LDAP users. Once you enable this authentication, it means that Celoxis will consult your LDAP server for verifying the credentials; not its database.
For the authentication to work, you need to create users in Celoxis and in your LDAP server. Some important points to note:
- If you enable LDAP after you have setup users in Celoxis, all the users will now be authenticated against LDAP. If they have different credentials in LDAP and in Celoxis, then
they should now start using the one setup in LDAP. - If your LDAP settings change or you made some error when setting up LDAP, you need to login as the administrator user i.e Login=administrator.
If you do not remember the credentials, refer here. - Your clients will still be authenticated against the Celoxis database; NOT LDAP.
