As projects progresses, the project manager might want to get a real-time view of his resources work loads based on actual approved time. This report provides visibility of free resources & helps the PM adjust allocations to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Lets take an example:
A resource Peter Parker is assigned to a task 'Setup Cubicles'
- Task Schedule: From 10th to 17th in a month i.e 6 days
- Work: 12h (Work)
- Allocation: 25%
So, the allocation for Peter (Hours (Est)) will be divided across the planned dates for the task (12h / 6d) which is as follows:

Assume today is 11th and Peter fills time-entry for 4 hours on 10th and is approved. So, on 10th (past date), the real-time assignment for Peter on 10 is 4h. Now, the remaining work is 8h which is divided across the available duration of the task i.e. 8/4=2h from 12th of the month; excluding today.
