You may not wish to permanently delete a user from Celoxis because a lot of data associated with the resource (documents, forum messages, time sheets and status updates) forms a part of an organization's knowledge base and needs to be preserved. Celoxis allows you to archive the resources instead. You can archive both licensed and generic resources. Archiving the licensed users frees up their license and you can use that license for a new user. Only a user with Admin access can archive users.
To deactivate a User:
- On the main menu, click Settings, and then click Company.
- In the Users And Clients section, click User Accounts.
- For a user, click on the actions drop-down and select Deactivate.
- If user has projects / tasks / processes assigned, then reassign them to other user.
- Click Submit. The resource is Deactivated.
The Deactivated user cannot log into the system.
You can Activate an archived resource if you have available licenses.
