You can enter the budget of the task at each level. This helps you to  get an estimate on how much cost you might incur for the project completion. This budget can then be rolled up to finalize the Project's Budget.

The Budget Status of the task helps you to identify if the task is on budget or not.

To enter budget on a task:

  1. Go to your project.
  2. Edit the task(s) for which you want to enter a budget.
  3. On the Edit task pop-up, click on the Advanced tab.
  4. Enter the amount in the Budget box under the Financials section.
