Following are the general guidelines you should follow to import via CSV :

  • You need to do the exact mapping of your columns in CSV file to the fields available in Celoxis. The columns should be separated by a comma (,).
  • In case you are importing custom field data via CSV, the custom fields must be first created in Celoxis. Only then can you import the data. You can select 'Skip' in case you do not want to import that data.
  • The mandatory fields for the respective entities must be present in the CSV file. For e.g, For importing tasks via CSV, the Summary, Start date, Finish Date are mandatory fields.
  • Under 'Ignore Rows', you need to enter 1 when you have a column name line first in you CSV.
  • The Date format you have in the CSV should be the same you have in your CSV file. Choosing an incorrect date format will give an error.
  • There are some columns you cannot map from a CSV file like a task duration, Work(h), etc. These needs to be skipped.
  • In case you are importing projects via CSV, then the 'Phase' should be one of the following : In Planning, In Progress, On Hold, Archived.
