At times, you need to track updates on work items where you are not assigned but are related to the work you're doing. By following a work item:

  • You get updates via email notifications about the updated on the work items.
  • You can even reply to the emails, which will then add your comments against that work item.

To Follow a work item:

By default, the assignee of a task or app item and the State Manager/Project Manager automatically follow that task or app item. Additionally, one can follow any work item:

  1. By clicking on that task or app item's three-line actions menu and selecting "Follow this item".
  2. From the work item's details page.

Managing Followers


A The creator of an a work item (or the PM, can add users to the followers list to keep them updated about the progress of thw work items. To do so, follow the steps below:

  • Run a task/apps report where you can view the work item.
  • From the details page of the task/app item, click

    anybody who has Edit privileges to the work item) can manage the follower list from the work item's view pane. Click on the pencil-shaped icon to

    add users to

    manage the follower list.

    You need to have Edit task/app item privilege to be able to add followers.

    • To unfollow a work item, click on Unfollow this item from the actions drop down of the respective itemits three line actions menu or its view pane. To unsubscribe from emails, click here.
    • You need to be able to view a work item to be able to follow it or receive updates on it.
