As a project progresses, tasks often tend to get delayed. It is very useful for a Manager to be able to compute the finish date based on current progress. Celoxis allows you to compute a projected finish date for your tasks and project. This can be done by clicking on Recalculate Projections for a project.
The attributes which are calculated are:
- Projected Start date of tasks.
- Projected Finish date of a tasks.
- Projected Finish date of a project.
- RAG (schedule and budget) status of project.
To recalculate projections:
- Go to your Project.
- From the project's action drop-down
, navigate to More. - Click Recalculate Projections.
We automatically do these projections every day at a fixed time between 3 AM to 6 AM EST. The fixed time is algorithmically determined. Projections for Projects which are In Progress and have a plan start date before today and Deadline > today to -90d is recalculated in this time.
