Resource efficiency chart is specially provided for the Project Manager for monitoring resource performance. This helps the PM with tighter control on resource efficiency and thereby improve performance and success rate.
This is the percentage of the resource estimated hours v/s the hours they actually spent on planned activities.
Resource Efficiency: Hours (Est)/Hours (Actual) as a percentage.
Let's look at an example: User - Peter who has Estimated hours as follows:
Apr | May | June |
---|---|---|
141 | 168 | 214 |
and Actual hours as follows:
Apr | May | June |
---|---|---|
128 | 36 | 164 |
So, the Efficiency for sat April is (141/128)*100=110%. This shows that Peter is an efficient resource.
The efficiency is always measured on Tasks as Hours(Est) can only be entered against the tasks.
- If Hours (Actual) is 0, then the cell will have value as '?' since it is undefined.
- If Hours (Est) is 0, then the cell will not have any value.
