You will need to first create the database before Celoxis installation can be started. Your database administrator will be the right person to set this up for you.

To create a database:

  1. Using the Database Configuration Assistant, create the blank database with name celoxis.
    Create a database with UTF8 character encoding. The database name should be the same as specified in your license request. 
  2. Once the database is created, you can create the DB user which is required during the installation process.
     Grant this user all permissions on the database. Also, give this user unlimited quota for tablespace users.

If you face issues connecting to the database, verify the following:

  • You have specified the correct details like the DB port number, DB server name, etc when making the license request.
  • Ensure that the Oracle SID/Service name and database name match.
  • The DB listener is configured and running.
