Resource Off-Time & Vacation
When a resource goes on vacation or is going to be unavailable due to say training or other events, this impacts the project schedule. Celoxis allows a resource to enter off-time and vacation in their calendar. There is a company level setting that lets a resource specify if the time off impacts working hours or not. If a resource enters vacation or time off in their calendar and marks the event as impacts scheduling - 'Yes - non working', Celoxis will automatically reschedule the tasks the resource is assigned to, factoring in the time off. Alternately, if the company level setting is disabled, someone with admin access will need to create a work calendar exception and set those days as 'non working' for that resource.
To enter vacation or time off:
Login with a user with administrator privileges and click on Calendar option under the user profile.
On the Calendar page, click the plus icon to add an event.Â
Only an user with administrative privileges can add events/vacation for other users.
- In the Impacts Scheduling drop-down list, select Yes - Non-Working.
- From the Start date picker, select a start date of the vacation.
- Click All Day option button if the vacation is for the entire day.Â
