Importing Users
Importing Users from CSV
If you have a list of users in a CSV, Celoxis provides you with quick way of importing them thus saving you time and effort.
How does it work?
While importing, Celoxis prompts you to map the relevant fields from the CSV with the fields available in Celoxis.
- There are some mandatory fields in Celoxis like, "Name" and "Email address".Â
- Other optional fields like login (not required for generic users) can be mapped as per your requirement.Â
- You can also map the custom fields created for users through the CSV file. For e.g the Date of Birth, Anniversary Date, etc.
- You can ignore or skip starting rows in the CSV by mentioning them under the Number of Top rows to skip box.
- You can also choose the required date format in Celoxis.Â
To import Users:
- From main menu, click on View and under People section, click on Users.
- From the action drop-down  click on Import CSV.
- Click Browse and select a file.
- Click Next.
- Select the Workspace under which you want to import these users. The users by default will play 'Staff' role in that department.
- Under the Field Mapping, map the fields of your CSV file with the fields provided. You can now map the custom fields created for a user through the CSV file.
