Project States
Celoxis allows you to define your own project states to suit your business requirements. The following are the pre-defined states. You can edit them OR add your own states as necessary.

Stages
A “stage” determines the behavior of a particular state. Most system actions are tied to a project stage. There are three stages: Planning, Execution and Closure to correspond to different stages in your project life-cycle.
For example, if a state has a stage “Planning”, then email notifications are not sent. The RAG indicator of the project with this state will be “Not Active”. Similarly, the projected dates for the tasks/project will not be shown. However, adding exceptions will affect the task dates.
