Resource Basics

A resource can be thought of as any person, role, equipment or facility that would be required for completion of the project activity. Resources in Celoxis would be defined by the admin user from the User interface. A named user with a login password would be a licensed user in Celoxis. However, you can have unlimited number of unlicensed users (no login/password) defined. These are termed as Generic Resources. You can use these to define:

• equipment (eg. lathe machine, crane, servers and so on) 
• facilities (eg. labs, conference rooms, auditorium etc)
• roles (developer, architect, graphics designer, project manager etc.)

You can define skills for every resource and specify a user cost. A resource can have a work calendar defined that indicates the time zone and work timings the resource is available in. Additionally, you can also track the availability of the same from the Resource Load Chart.
