Expense Codes

When tracking expenses it is important to know where the money was spent on. for instance, travelling, photocopying, etc. When filling an expense you will be prompted to select the expense code for each line item. You can report on expense codes to see how money is being spent across projects.

To enter the expense codes:

  1. Login with a user with administrator privileges and click on Administration option under the user profile.
  2. Under the Expenses section, click on Expense Codes.
  3. Click Add button.
  4. In the Name* box, type the name of the expense.
  5. Fill in the other details and click Save. The expense code is added.

Editing the expense code, affects the approved and Submitted for Approval expenses.

Deleting the expense code, maintains it for the approved expenses. You will not be able to use the deleted expense code for new expense entries.
