Copying and Moving Tasks
Copying or moving the task copies the duration, schedule type, work, resource allocation, budget, estimated costs, documents, Security (object level) etc. You can set a different start date for the clone and the finish date will be computed.Â
To clone a task to a different project, you can first copy the task, and then move it across the projects. This also copies the same task attributes mentioned above.
To copy a task in a project :
- Go to the Gantt of your project.
- Select a task(s) and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard OR right-click on the task and select Copy.
- Now, select the task under which you want to paste the task and press Ctrl+V on the keyboard  OR  right-click on the task and select Paste. The new task(s) is now seen under the task.Â

To Move a task to another project :
- Go to the Gantt of your project.
- Right-click on the task you wish to move and click on Move.
- Now, in the new pop-up, pick the project where the task will be moved and click on Next. The task will move to the selected project.
Moving the task will move the costs, documents, updates made on the task to the new selected project.
