Participate in Discussions

Online forums are an interactive way to have discussions on the project. Clients can participate in topics that are marked ‘share with client’. Clients can post their comments and the subscribed users associated with that forum get an email notification to which they can acknowledge by replying through these online forums. It is an excellent way to receive feedback from the client and clarify a doubt or raise a query if any, thus establishing an instant mode of communication between you and your client.

To invite a client to a discussion:

  1. Go to your Project.
  2. Click Start a Discussion from the More menu on right.
  3. In the New Discussion dialog box, type name in the Summary box.
  4. In the Detail box, type your comments.
  5. Select the Share with client check box.
  6. Click Save.
     

For a client to initiate a discussion:

  1. Login as a client.
  2. Goto to the project.
  3. Click on Start a Discussion option on top-right.
  4. Enter the mandatory fields and click on Save.
  5. The discussion will be created. By default, the PM is added as a follower to the discussion. If the project option Auto subscribe team members to this discussion is checked, then the team members are also added as followers.
