Depending on your industry and business practices you may need to capture additional information for projects and tasks.

For example, a company may wish to capture custom stages in the project, or they may want to know the project overruns. Celoxis provides the ability to create custom fields to capture any such information.  

  • Custom fields can be attached to Project Categories, Tasks, Workflow processes,  Workflow state Transitions, Users, Contacts and Clients.
  • Celoxis allows you to define a custom field and then determine what entities that field can be attached to thus increasing reusability, maintains uniformity and reduces maintenance. 

You can create custom fields of the following type :

  • Currency: A numeric field with decimals which when displayed will be prefixed with the currency symbol.
  • Date: A date field. Includes a convenient calendar picker for the user.
  • File Chooser: A file attachment field.
  • Formula: A field whose value can be computed based on that of other attributes.
  • Multi-line Text Area: A field which allows you to enter rich text.
  • Text: A single line text field.
  • Multi-select drop-down: A drop down that allows multiple options to be picked.
  • Numeric (No Decimals): A numeric field without decimals.
  • Numeric (With Decimals): A numeric field with decimals.
  • Single-line Text: A textual field allowing you to enter text data.
  • Single-select Pick List: A drop down that allows only one option to be picked.
