Time Codes
When tracking time against a task, it is important to know what service/activity was performed. A time code is used to represent the service/activity performed. For an IT company, examples of time code can be "design", "development", "bug fixing" etc. For a marketing company  it could be "campaigns", "events" and so on.Â
If your Company bills clients based on services provided, then you can set your Company billing model as "Time code based". In that case, Celoxis lets you define "billing rates" on your time codes. These are used when computing the billable amounts of the tasks from approved time entries. If you wish to factor in the service/activity into costing, you can mark the time code as Costable.Â
At times, a time code may not be specific to projects. For example vacations or company meetings. Celoxis allows you to define "non-project" time codes.Â
